doTERRA Cleanse

November 24th, 2018 – 13 days after the Cleanse.. – I am feeling wonderful.  I’m “regular” again!  My skin is clear and glowing and no I am not pregnant! hahaha  My hair is shining like it was when I was in my teens.   I’ve lost an additional 1.5 lbs, I just feel great.  Still drinking lots of water with the lemon essential oil and drinking herbal tea!  The Supplements are still on our daily routine!  It makes a better and healthier you!  I would recommend the doTERRA Cleanse to everyone!  It is challenging but so worth it!   If you would like to ask me any questions about it let me know.  I will be posting my Recipes that kept my husband and I sane!

Day 30:  I woke up this morning thinking… Yippeee it is my last day on the cleanse.  I can get back to normal and do what I want again.  I found that I really didn’t want to dive into anything.  I enjoy feeling better.  I lost 13.5 lbs. and I am feeling better.  What I do enjoy and will from this day forward is knowing I can do anything.  I did this cleanse and it was challenging.  It was hard to get motivated but I did it.  The more I did the better I felt.  I had my Tetley tea with a bit of milk and I really enjoyed it but I also really like the Nighty Nite herbal tea I was having!  Crazy, right???  My days will be full with all I love.  I will do a few days a month of smoothies and detox soups because I want to.  I would recommend that EVERYONE do this cleanse at least once.  It opens your eyes to so many things.

Day 18: We are moving along.  I’ve found some very good recipes and some not so great!  Last night for dinner we had the good old fashioned (primped up) Carrots, Asparagus and Creamed Cauliflower!  They were all really good.  I’m getting a bit frustrated with the lack of choices now.  Only 12 days left and I do feel better.  I feel lighter!  Sleeping well, and I know it is good for our bodies.  Looking forward still, to my Tetley tea with milk!

Day 14:  Well, this has been very interesting.  It is certainly a challenge, but the results are really great.  I am feeling better, my hair is shiny like when I was a kid.  My skin was breaking out at the beginning but now is looking clear and supple!  I was constipated the first 10 days but once we got on the GX, all systems were GO!   The menus have been challenging.  I have tried to make them good, tasty and fun.  I have found so many spots in my favourite Grocery stores I didn’t know existed!  I have a new appreciation for Herbal Tea!  Bedtime Blend is lovely all during the day too!   The bathroom scale has been very nice too!  Today I was craving Cheese!  My dh is craving MEAT!  as he put it.  A Big chunk of meat!  Well, only 6 days left and he can have his Meat and I can have cheese.  Cleaning out your system is important.  We never really overindulged on these items and we do love fish and seafood, and a late night snack often is a salad, but when you can’t have something…. you really want it.  The Lentil Chips I think, have been my best find.  They are tasty and are really good with a poached egg in the morning for me.  I would recommend this to anyone who is feeling sluggish, wants to clean out their system and knows that a month without Booze, Meat, Fish, Poultry, Wheat, Dairy… would do them good… give it a try.  If we can do it… Anyone can!

Day 4: of the doTERRA cleanse…

it’s a challenge to detox.   The regiment is fine, we are very flexible.  Drinking 8-12 glasses of water every day is getting easier, we forget and then the time goes by!  But as you drink more water, you start to crave it, which is a good thing.   Taking the Vitamins and Supplements for darling husband (dh) is easy, for me, most I can take easily but others… I take them in a smoothie with dōTERRA Trim Shake, Chocolate or Vanilla.

What I find difficult is getting over the choice of food.   It is very restrictive but if you are creative, it tastes good.   I am a chef, so my palate is a bit more discerning than some.   I have found that making this worse than vegan meal plan tasty a challenge.   I will be posting the recipes I have mastered to make delicious.   If you like Salads that is great because you can make your own vinaigrette and they still great.   The “cream” of mushroom soups is fabulous!  Who knew boiled cauliflower, then blended is a great thickener!  I sautéed the mushrooms and onions in a bit of coconut oil (or Olive Oil) and added them to the Cauliflower and Mushroom stock, delicious.  You can eat lots of fruit, any veggie and even juice!   Add Maple Syrup or honey for flavour!  All in all it’s fine but I’m spoiled and I want, what I want, when I want it    I miss butter!   I miss my Tetley cup of tea with milk.  That’s pretty much my complaint!

Ultimately, the cleanse is really good for you.   We know at the end of the 30 days we will feel better.   Our bodies will have been filtered of all the yucky stuff inside.  I would like to lose weight, dh does NOT want to lose weight.   I’ll keep you posted!

doTERRA cleanse… scary and exciting all at the same time.  My husband and I are on day 2.  Day 1 went pretty well, I spent the day cooking Chili and Soups and a lot of it was the same as usual with a few changes.  I used Cauliflower to thicken the Cream of Mushroom soup, the Chili there was no meat at all, I used veggie meatballs and served it with rice with no yummy gooey cheese on top and but the Veggie/Cabbage soup was identical.
