Road trips… exciting? Yes, for sure. Here we are in a car, traveling to somewhere we want to go. I’m off on a road trip today with my son for Thanksgiving weekend. It’s a long drive but it will be great. I’m getting all packed and set for this wonderful journey. Unfortunately we won’t be arriving until the wee hours of the morning, but who cares! Well, the teenager cares. He is already getting into the “wow, what a long drive” mode.
I see it differently. We can talk about so many things. Some things hard but most of them fun and funny. What will we do when we get there? Who will we see. We are off to Sault Ste. Marie. We’ll be going to the farm, probably experience the Corn Maze and see a bunch of people we haven’t seen in many years. The farm has a new puppy. Of course, I am very excited to meet the new furry bundle.
It’s Thanksgiving weekend coming up. Spending time with friends and family is always a good thing to do over a fabulous meal. Turkey is always a welcome meal, with all the fixins. I don’t really know what is planned but I know it will be a great visit. As the winter comes on us, it is a good thing to celebrate the Fall. I’ll be wearing socks for the first time in a very long while. I have my rubber “Hunter” boots packed and now looking for running shoes. Sandals are so much better! haha
Getting ready to go for me is not that fun. The anticipation of the visit is good but the day of it is stressful for me. Thank goodness for my doTERRA oils. My favourite for stress is Vetiver. It is so calming and helps me sleep. Lavender of course is also a favourite. I’ve got my oils, diffuser and all my Crochet stuff packed… I’ve made baby hats for the upcoming arrival of twins! I won’t meet the babies this time but I will meet the Mum and Dad!
Hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, doing whatever it is you are doing.
Until next time…
